History and stuff: When Robin was 15, a freshman in high school, her parents got a divorce. She now alternates living with each of them every other week. She also feels rather disconnected from each of them, as though she's on her own in the world and has been locking down her feelings about the divorce since it happened.
In pitiful attempts to make up for the divorce, Robin's parents bombard her with gifts. She has received a truck, a laptop, an iPad, a Kindle Fire, and much more. However, nothing can replace what was once a tight-knit family.
To escape her dramatic home life, she goes to parties and hangs out with friends almost 24/7. She has some sanity though. She doesn't drink or do drugs or smoke or anything.
