Flurrytail glanced behind her, awkwardly carrying her kits on her back. Her paws sunk in the marshy ground, but she managed to fight her way through the muck. She looked back again, and quickened her step. She finally smelled other cats, and her fear shrunk a little. She needed a safe place for her kits, even if she wouldn't be accepted, she need someone to at least take her kits. Her ruthless father followed her, and yowled in fury. Flurrytail was trying to escape him, as he continuously beat her and her two surviving kits. The others killed at birth by her father, who hate begun hating her ever since she'd given birth to half-clan kits. Her mate had tried to protect her, and had ended up brutally murdered. She finally came to the border, but didn't enter the territory. "Help!" She screamed over her mewling kits. "Help me!" She yowled again, before running to another area so her father couldn't catch her.

Flowerstar appeared, Spiritclaw in tow. She leapt across to the other femme, nudging her over the border, as Spiritclaw crouched, totally ready to defend them.

Flurrytail panted hard, and set her kits on the ground. She stood protectively over them. She heard another furious yowl, and Flurrytail's father appeared. "You lying little mousebrain!" He screamed at her once he saw her. "You will pay for the shame you have brought to our clan." He launched himself at her, so focused on Flurrytail and her kits that he didn't notice the other cats.

Spiritclaw knocked him to the ground, hissing, and Flowerstar pinned him, snarling. "I suggest you turn around and leave, or you'll be a shame to your clan."

Flurrytail looked at him pleadingly. "Fine." He spat. Flurrytail sighed with relief as her father pulled himself from under her rescuer, and ran off into the woods. Flurrytail walked up to the clan leader, a cat-like smile. "Thank you. My kits and I are grateful for your help." She said. Her kits came up behind her, mewling. "Are we safe here?" Blizzard kit asked the leader. "Yeah! Are we safe here?" Snowkit repeated her brother. Fluffytail picked the both of them up, and set them on her back, as they were having a bit of an issue walking through the muck due to their short legs.

Flowerstar looked at the kits for a moment, before dipping her head. "Yes, you are." Spiritclaw shook his coat out. "If you don't mind sinking for a while." He and Flowerstar both stood fine, barely sinking.

Flurrytail gave a light kitty chuckle. "I'm sure we can manage. Oh, and I'm Flurrytail. She pointed to the brown and white kit with her tail. That's Snowkit, and the other is Blizzardkit." She said as she pulled her paws out of the muck.

Flowerstar dipped her head. "I'm Flowerstar, and this is Spiritclaw." The tom smiled, before nodding into the marsh. "We should get you back to camp." He said to Flurrytail, and he began leading the way, Flowerstar walking next to Flurrytail.

Flurrytail sighed contentedly, and followed. Blizzardkit settled down comfortably on her back, while Snowkit clung to the back of her neck.

They soon came to a tangle of mangroves, whose roots made a practically impenetrable wall. Spiritclaw took them along it until they came to a tunnel about a tail-length wide. He waited, while Flowerstar trotted through first.

Flurrytail hurried in quickly after Flowerstar, wanting to get her kits into the camp as soon as possible. Once in, she lay down so the kits could climb off. Once again, she went up to Flowerstar. "Thank you." She said again. "If there's anything I can do in return..."

She shook her head. "Its fine. Follow me to the nursery." She said warmly, walking towards a cluster of mangroves a little behind a large, lone mangrove in the center.

Flurrytail sighed, and followed Flowerstar, her kits scrambling along behind. "Mother, I'm tired." Blizzardkit mewed. "I know, Darling. You'll be able to rest soon." Flurrytail reassured him.

Flowerstar stopped st the small entrance to the nursery den. "Go ahead in." She smiled.

FLurrytail nodded. She opened her mouth to say something, but then forgot. She nudged her kits into the den, and settled down in a nest, her kits snuggled into her.

Flowerstar stuck her head in. "Sunpaw and Rosepaw will be around soon, if you want anything." She said gently.

Flurrytail nodded. "Thanks." Blizzardkit and his sister ran over to Flowerstar. "Yeah! Thank you" They mewed in unison.

"You're welcome." She said warmly, before slipping out. A few moments later, two apprentices slunk in, one a vibrant ginger tom, with amber eyes, the other a pretty tabby she, with green eyes. She bounced in excitement, "I'm Rosepaw, and this is Sunpaw." She mewed.

Flurrytail gave a cat-smile(Is that even possible? x3) "Hello." She said cheerfully. Her kits had gone off to the other side of the den to play, so she had to keep glancing over at them.

Sunpaw smiled. "Anything you'd like help with?"

Flurrytail stood, and stretched. "Em, would you mind showing us where the fresh-kill pile is?" She asked.

Sunpaw nodded, "okay, this way." He mewed, turning and exiting. Rosepaw began pulling at bedding, sighing.

FLurrytail thanked him, and followed, Blizzardkit bouncing along behind her. Snowkit asked if she could stay behind with Rosekit, ands getting her mother's permission, she scrambled over to her. "Would you like some help?" She asked, excitedly. She didn't mind it, really, as she had endless chores her grandfather and uncle had forced her to do.

She looked up. "Sure," she looked around at the empty beds in the nursery. "Some of these beds get used, so we have to take out the old, dry moss, and bring in the good stuff!" She began pulling at the bedding again.

Sunpaw took them to a part in the wall of camp, not too far from the entrance, that had an empty sphere in the mangrove roots, creating a sheltered bowl. It was around chest height, but was a good place to put food. "There you are!"

Snowkit's eyes lit up, and she began copying Rosepaw.

Flurrytail looked over at Sunpaw. Thank you, Sunpaw. She mewed. Blizzardkit bounced up and stuck his head in the "bowl". He grabbed two small mice and turned to his mom. Fi got von fer my fizte (I got one for my sister) He explained, before prancing off in the direction of the den.
