She pushed again and screamed in pain as the hooves slowly came out. She shoved once, twice, three times. The foals muzzle was out. She took a brake and breathed deeply, in... out... in...out... then she pushed hard. The head burst out and she screamed again. She pushed again, and the body slid out a little more. The foal was now halfway out. She struggled up, stumbled around and lay down again. She rested a bit and then felt a huge contraction coming. She braced herself and pushed harder than she'd ever pushed before. But the foal didn't move. She cried out in pain.Why........ isn't....... it...... MOVING?? She screamed to Shadow. She could not see that the left leg of the foal was bent under its body, stuck inside the mare. She tried to push again, to no avail. She moaned. The Foal was hanging halfways out of her body. WHY???

She felt her breath going short. She just needed the leg to come out. Suddenly, the biggest contraction racked her body. She whinnyed and pushed with everything she had. There was a slight popping sound as the leg came free and the foal slid out with a rush of water and blood.

It's a... girl! She panted, looking up at him. She smiled. Then she felt something again. She stood up. There's another one!A massive contraction racked her very core, and water gushed out and soaked the grass around her. She lifted her tail. You could just see a bloodsack.

The next foal slid out slowly.A boy and a girl. Willow and Willa. My children.She looked up at him, tears falling.My babies.
