Jem walking in. Well, it was more of a confident strut. She knew she was attractive, yes, but she wasn't here to waltz around showing off her looks. She was here because she had to be. She needed to find a mate, to start a family, in order for her breed to stay alive. She was one of the last, the only others her two siblings who'd managed to survive The Time Games. Every litter had to go through this, and most of the pups never made it out alive. It was her duty to pass on her traits, as she was the most mature of them all. She slowly lowered herself to the ground, not wanting her large clock to bang against her chest. In her mouth hung a sun and a moon, attached to the opposite ends on a chain, the middle of with stuck permanently in her mouth, fused to her teeth. They did not hinder her eating, or hunting. They were just...there. Existing. She open her mouth, and released a long, low toned howl, a sign she was ready for suitors. She sat patiently, waiting, watching.

Hereth's ruby-red eyes scanned the scenery. His thin tail flopped around aimlessly, scatering the small water drops that fell on it. His bright body was resting against the water-cave's wall rather lazily. His rather sharp ears were turning this way and that; picking up every little sound that happened to pass by. It was cool and calm in here, he thought. No wolves to disturb him. No hunters to chase him. It was the best life.
Then he heard the howl. He lifted his head off his paws. His nose twitched. His ears shot up, giving them a bat-like shape. And, though, it seemed like there was nothing to disturb his peaceful, slacky day, he thought rather bitterly. With a shake of his head, he slowly got up and trotted to the entrance of the cave, curious to see what had made that sound.
Herath snorted when he saw the she-wolf. He stood there for a while, studying her with his red eyes, his snake-like tail slowly curling and un-curling around his legs every now and then. He smirked after a while. She was one of the few females around here, if not the only one he had seen. He decided to stay and wait; seeing what she would do before going down.

Jem sat, listening for the returning cry. There was none. She wrapped her bushy tail around her thin legs, much like what a cat would do.
She continued waiting. When nothing happened, she slid her front paws from under her, and laid down. She looked down at her clock. It was upside down when she looked at it, but she could still tell the time. Eleven. In the morning. That was a long wait, since she promised herself she'd stay until night fell. And then, she would return the next morning. She was determined not to let her kind die off. They were already few in numbers, especially since The Time Games had been put into place, since the Elders wanted amusement. They were cruel beings, evil for letting such young pups be gruesomely murdered by others their age. Four could survive, and so she helped her two siblings that had been alive. She gave a mournful sigh at the sister she'd lost. She'd been the runt, and also, the first to die. (Feeling morbid.) She'd been thinking about all this, when she caught a whiff of something. She lifted her head, as it had been resting on her paws. She turned her head once to the left, once to the right. Nothing. It smelled like another canine, but she figured it was another just stalking through the woods.

His head tilted down, his eyes still trained on her. Nothing too exciting happening, he thought. Well. Time to let the fun start.
He stood quite firm; his slim paws dug into the ground, his head pointing straight forward, slowly tilting this way and that every now and again.
In the trees, far behind the she-wolf, was a small squirrel. It was busily chittering away, searching for it's food. Hereth's eyes suddenly turned into a white creamy colour; and he stared at the small creature for a few seconds.
So suddenly, it stopped what it was doing. It's eyes had now turned the same colour as Hereths'.
Then it turned it's small head towards Jem. Quietly, it started "stalking" towards her; careful not to make a sound. It stopped when it was only a few inches from her; and, opening it's mouth, it snapped it's teeth around her bushy tail.
Ah, mind control, Hereth thought.
Such a fun thing to mess with.

Jem had dismissed the smell completely. She'd slowly been sucked back into dreamland, reliving the horrible moments from the Games. She gave an angry growl. She had been told to look out for Sapphire. The poor pup had barely had a chance. She shook her head to rid herself of the torture. Instead, she sat back up, and listened carefully. Hearing nothing, she sat back up. She was lifting a paw to get up, so she could hunt, when she felt sudden pain in her tail. You'd think the bushiness would stop a squirrel's teeth. It didn't. She whipped her head around, and grabbed the tiny rodents body, teeth sinking into it's flesh, snapping it's neck and easily tearing through the spinal column. She pulled, and the squirrel's head detached from it's body. She flung the lifeless, headless body to the ground, before carefully removing it's head. She stared down at the dismantled creature. Just a waste of life. To think the stupid creature would come and bite her. A canine. Wait a minute... She stood, and swiveled her ears, turning her head in every direction. Any normal squirrel wouldn't have dared touching her with a ten foot pole. So why had this one attacked...

He snorted quietly, watching her rip the poor creature's head off and fling it.
Snappy, eh? He thought excitedly. He, too, could posses that same attitude.
Quickly, he searched for another thing he could play with (godthatsoundedsowrong).
Nothing too interesting; just a few glimpses of some more squrriels and bugs. Well. He wouldn't dare risk his own life yet; yes, he did have a thing for flirting, but he somewhat liked to do it with "decoys".
Hereth grew impatient. And, he had noticed her start to get curious. She would probably discover him sooner or later.
Just then, behind him he saw a young wolf.
It looked quite well; good condition, he thought. Just the thing he needed.
Like before, he started stareing at it until it's own eyes turned into a white-ish colour.
It jumped over him; and started towards Jem.
Hereth wriggled behind a large rock, not wanting to be seen, but peeked over the top, interested to see her reaction.

The smell of the wolf hit Jem, and she whipped around, her large ears catching to sound of paws thudding on the soft grass. She backed a step, and bared her teeth. She couldn't tell if this canine would hurt her. She noticed it had the strangest of eyes. They were whitish. She didn't pay too much mind. She knew there were many who have differences, herself included. She readied herself to attack. Yeah. She was still weary of others. Just because she had a duty to fulfill, it didn't mean she wouldn't rip this wolf to bits. Slowly, two vines began growing from the earth, and climbed their way into the sky, attaching themselves to trees, weaving something that would provide a quick escape if need be. It looked almost like a ladder leaning against a tree.

Hereth's eyes grew wide with shock, so wide in fact, that they almost returned to their original red state.
He steadied himself, careful not to let the decoy's eyes loose their white colour.
He needed to do something.
But, of course, even the finest of powers have their limits.
Because the wolf was such a large decoy, he needed a large amount of power to posses his body, and Hereth didn't really have any power to spare for communicating. If he tried, he would grow weak and probably die; since over half of his body was made up of magic.
The only way to get more magic would be to harvest some souls; but there weren't any big souls to harvest, and he needed the wolf for his decoy.
Oh well.
The wolf stopped in front of Jem. What could Hereth do? He thougth for a while, and then, he got it.
The wolf bent down on his front paws and wagged his tail playfuly, innocently.
Surely she'd think nothing bad of the wolf, Hereth smirked.

Jem raised both brows, and frowned. So it was playful. Poor thing. Play was for pups. She sat, and stared at the pathetic creature. (Yeah. Not the nicest xD) She huffed. The creature kind of amused her. It's antics were relieving, actually. But she was still wary. It' innocence was obvious, and kind of stupid.She'd grown so used to fearing for her life, for feeling cold, and angry, it was hard to feel anything sometimes, and so she just watched the wolf go about it's actions. She sighed, and stretched, keeping her eyes steadily trained on the young canine. (Meh. Fail.)

It stared at her. So did Hereth. He huffed. So she thought she was better? He didn't like it when things went this way. He wanted to get her atention, yet without drawing attention to himself. The wolf got down fully and started rolling around her. Hereth wasn't sure he'd get her attention this way; but it was worth a try.

Jem managed as the pitiful dog began rolling on the grass. So. It Reeeaalllyyy wanted to play. Too bad for it. She did stand, though, and walk a bit closer to it, to investigate. The wolf was very persistent. Most would've gotten the hint that she wasn't interested, and left. but not this one. She sniffed at it, and sneezed. Grrr. She hated sneezing. It stung her nose. She continued to stare at the wolf, tail wagging only slightly.

(I forgot to mention x3;; The things Hereth posseses start having strange smells and stuffs. And... Screw it =-= I'm giving the wolf a name. Hm... Jack?)
Jack continued to roll around pupishly (notsureifthat'sevenaword o.o;) until she came and sniffed him. He tilted his head slightly when she sneezed, and looked up at her, up-side down. Hereth slightly grinned when he saw her tail wagging slowly, so he made Jack'a paw reach up and gently poke her.

Jem stumbled back as the young wolf suddenly touched her. She gave a quick growl, and poked him back. Well, it was more like a jab. She didn't much being touched suddenly. The very thing made her want to bite of his paws, but, she resisted the urge. Man had she become violent. She backed up a bit, out of range of his paws. Who..are you? She finally asked, curiously. She sat back down, and stared at him. (Failure Dx)

Jack's ears flattened when she growled, and gave a sharp yip when he jabbed her. That must've hurt, Hereth giggled. But when she asked a question, he became a bit nervous. What was he gonna do? There was no way he could use Jack to talk. Well... He could possibly distract Jem for some time and hunt for souls. He hoped up on some rocks and back down, into the small wood behind the falls. Jack sat up and shook himself, then looking down at the spot where Jem had jabbed him. Then looked back at her. Jack; or Hereth; had no idea what to do. So, Jack just sat there, while Hereth was busy scavaging (noideahowtospellit) for souls.
